Naomi Watts

 

Naomi Ellen Watts was born 28 September 1968. After her family relocated to Australia, Watts made her film film debut there in For Love Alone (1986). She later appeared on three television shows: Hey Dad.. (1990) and Brides of Christ(91), and Home and Away (91) and Flirting (1991). Watts was an unsuccessful actor when she first arrived in the United States. She acted in films with a small budget and then became an actress. She gained international recognition through this character. Watts then played a tormented journalist in the horror remake The Ring (2002). Her portrayal of grieving mother in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated for an Academy Award. Her fame increased when she appeared in I Heart Huckabees (2004). King Kong (2006), Eastern Promises ((2007)) and The International (2009). Watts was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her role in The Impossible (2012). In the 2010s she was a part of such films such as Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014), While We're Young (2015), The Glass Castle (2017) as well as Luce (2019). Watts also continued to play in blockbusters, and made appearances in the Divergent franchise (2015-2016).
