Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules! from 2009-2010. From 2009 to 2010, she was a star as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution which is a post-apocalyptic science fiction show. She was nominated to a Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played Annika on the A&E television series Bates Motel. Since 2017 Spiridakos has starred on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. She has two brothers. The family moved to Skala in Greece situated south of Sparta within a short time after her birth. In 1992 the family came back to Canada. She is deeply connected to her Greek heritage and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school. She also was a student at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting, and within a couple of weeks, she had her first TV role, a small part on Supernatural. Spiridakos continued her work on television as a walk-on in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos appeared in the TV film Goblin as well as the web show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also was a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean, the werewolf. In 2009, the actress received her first major role in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15-year-old Becky Richards. Her feature film debut came in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags the movie, a Nickelodeon original movie. Then she was offered a leading part on the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, the survivalist of the future of a dystopian society. She auditioned for the role when she attended her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos produced the pilot in Atlanta and the pilot season in Wilmington. In recognition of her performance in the pilot she was nominated for win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She fell short to Fringe's Anna Torv. Production relocated to Austin, Texas for the second season of the show.
