Rosamund Pike

 Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend), an accomplished classical violinist mother as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer dad. The couple worked hard and she travelled extensively throughout Europe in her early years. Pike attended Badminton School in Bristol, England and began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 when she made her debut in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then discovered by an agent and signed. The film she made her debut in was a big-budget action flick. But, her subsequent film work was mostly independent films, such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). She was also awarded the Best Supporting Actress prize in The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) included Pike as one of the Bennet girls. Following a brief appearance in Hollywood, Doom (2005) and Fracture (2006) and Fracture (2006), she returned to film, delivering outstanding performances in three of the smaller films. She also appeared in Johnny English Reborn (2011) and the sci-fi action Wrath of the Titans (2012). Pike returned to action movies as the female lead alongside Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012).
