Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Mixett is a Canadian actress who is famous for her appearances in films such as Apartment Hunting, â€Men with Brooms, and'The Tree of Life. She was born in Spalding and attended high school in Alberta. She became interested in acting as a hobby during her teenage years. To further enhance her acting education she went to the National Theatre School' in Montreal as well as the Moscow Theatre School'. She first appeared on television in 1996 as a supporting actor on the Canadian series, 'The Rez. In the same year, she also appeared in series' like "Forever Knight" and "Ready or Not.' She also made her debut in film in the late 1990s with the film titled "Papertrail" and later appeared in films like 'Men with Brooms' and  Cypher.' In shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder," she also performed in supporting roles. The actress was also appearing in films through the 2000s. However, her film appearances were smaller than her television ones. In 1998, she also played the lead role as "Colleen Blessed" in the Canadian drama series "Power Play.' It was on for two seasons and 26 episodes and was praised by critics and advertisers. In recognition of her part in the series, she was nominated as an Gemini Award nominee. Jude Lyon Matchett was her first child. However, she didn't reveal the name of her son's father. According to some sources her ex boyfriend is her father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke in the mid-1990s, and they began dating. They got married in 1998. They divorced in 2006 after their marriage broke in the middle of the year.
