2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps (also known as 2 Chainz), is an American hip hop and rapper artist. Georgia native, he formed the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high-school friend. The group's debut album, 'Supply & Demand,' was a mixed success. Epps' second album, 'Based upon the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge hit and debuted at the top spot on the US Billboard 200. The album sold 147,000 copies within its first week itself! The success of the album has earned him the status of famous and he quickly rose to the top of the US's hip-hop scene. He's been nominated six times for Grammy Awards, one of them was for his hit song "No Problem". When he was discovered to have marijuana and promethazine inside his bag, he was taken off a plane at Los Angeles International Airport. This led to controversy. However, his encounters with the law haven’t affected his popularity. His fourth studio album, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music", was released in June 2017. "Based on a T.R.U." Story', the debut studio album of 2 Chainz, can be regarded as his debut album and also his most successful one. It was a huge success, and peaked at the top spot on the US Billboard 200, as it selling 147,000 copies in a week. It eventually sold 623,000 copies during the course of the year. It was nominated at the 55th Grammy Awards for 'Best Rap Album'. Many reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Warren in the year 2013. They have three children: Heaven, Harmony and Halo. He has had a long and prosperous career but is well-known for his penchant for getting in trouble with the law. He has been arrested several times for possession of drugs.
