Roselyn Sanchez Bio

Roselyn Milagros Sanchez Rodriguez (born April 2, 1973) is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter, dancer actress, model and producer. On television, she is most famous for her appearances as Elena Delgado on the CBS police procedural Without a Trace (2005-09), and as Carmen Luna on the Lifetime comedy-drama Devious Maids (2013-16). In the film world, Sanchez has appeared in Rush Hour 2 (2001), Boat Trip (2002), The Game Plan (2007) as well as Act of Valor (2012). Sanchez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is the youngest of four siblings. She also has three older brothers. Sanchez began her education from San Juan. As a child, she showed an interest in both acting and dancing and would perform performances for her family. Sanchez as well as her father and brothers, enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico to learn about marketing. However, after three years she left the course. In 1991 she turned 18 Sanchez was transferred to New York City, where she took classes in dancing singing, acting and dancing. Following her return to Puerto Rico, Sanchez made her film debut in 1992. She got a small part as an island girl in Captain Ron, which was partly shot in Puerto Rico. Sanchez was a dancer from Puerto Rico and co-host of Que Vacilon, a variety show. At the time, in 1993, Sanchez won the Miss Puerto Rico Petite contest and, in 1994, she won the international title of Miss American Petite, bringing her international recognition. Sanchez was included in many annual lists of beautiful women like Maxim Magazine's Hot 100 in 2001, 2002, and 2006; AskMen.com’s Top 99 Most Attractive Women in 2005 and 2006; FHM's 100 Sexiest Women of 2005 and 2006.
